The real reason why people don’t like you – you smell

First of all, I am just going to make this point clear, everybody cannot like you, so do not strive to be liked by all. I was reading through the scriptures one day and one verse caught my attention and it is the reason why some people just do not like you for whatever reason.

The reason is that you smell.

Yup, that is what I said, you smell. You smell so bad to them and they just want to get away from you. It smells so bad, worse than cheap perfume… like decaying flesh…like death.

The funny thing though is that, some other people just really like you and it is the same reason, they love the way you smell…better than Christian Dior.

So the question is how can the same aroma be nauseating to some people and be attractive to others? Hmm…

I saw something in second Corinthians chapter two verses fourteen and fifteen that pretty much explains it all. It says ” But thanks to God, who always puts us on display in Christ and through us spreads the aroma of the knowledge of him in every place. For to God, we are a fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. To some, we are an aroma of death leading to death and to others we are an aroma of life leading to life.”

Do you now see why? It is not really you. It’s their perception of you. So what can you do?

Just remember that when they don’t like you, it really is not you they don’t like, they don’t like the Christ in you because you remind them of their perishing lives…

So keep soaring! Keep shining! Keep…smelling!

I heard that we are actually reacting on certain hormones we can pick up. Kind of making the connection between people. Some we “can’t stand the smell” because they are not good for us. And others we love how they smell like because they are good for us…

    1. Really? that is an interesting theory! Thanks for sharing!
