What will be will not be

Have you ever been going through a tough time in your life, perhaps waiting for a job, or going in for surgery and your friend, in an attempt to ‘comfort’ you tells you ‘ what will be will be.’

For the life of me, I cannot understand how that is comforting. I would rather s/he not say anything at all.

Everything that happens in our lives is orchestrated by God. He has good plans for each and every one of us. So we should not resign ourselves to fate and trust me…that’s easier said than done…I know.

Sometimes it is easier to just give up. It really is…because then, you do not have to risk getting repeatedly disappointed. If you never have any hope or faith, you will not be disappointed because you never expected anything to begin with.

When life throws us curve balls, it attempts to get us down to our knees…to surrender to ‘fate’, to make us stop trying, to stop believing. It attempts to suck out every ounce of courage we have left, to make us hang our lives on phrases like ‘whatever will be will be…’

But we do not live by fate, we live by faith! Faith is a firm persuasion based on hearing the word of God. Faith is believing that God has a good plan and that what He says is true!

It is hard living for God. It’s hard going in one direction when everyone else is going the opposite way. So, have faith, I dare you!

Do not live discouraged or without hope, no matter how many disappointments we face, they’re all working together for our good.

Let us hold tightly and unswervingly to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep His promise!

Whatever will be will not be, but God will do what He says He will do!
